If, after your consultation, you decide to move forward with Lear Immigration Law, we're here to guide you through every step of the hiring process.
We believe in transparency, efficiency, and treating your case with the personalized attention it deserves.
When Can You Hire the Firm?
You can only hire our firm after completing a consultation with one of our attorneys. This ensures that we have a full understanding of your situation and that we're the right fit for your needs.
Once the consultation is complete and we've determined that we can assist with your case, you'll have the option to retain us for representation.
What Happens After You Decide to Hire Us?
Once you decide to move forward, here's what you can expect:
1. Signing a Legal Representation Agreement
We'll send you a link to a written representation agreement that outlines:
• The scope of our legal services
• The cost of representation (determined during or after the consultation)
• Payment terms and deadlines
• Expectations and responsibilities of all parties involved
2. Client Onboarding to Our Firm
After signing the agreement, you'll be onboarded as an official client of the firm. You will:
• Gain access to our secure client portal
• Receive a link to an online questionnaire
• Provided a list of documents to upload
• Be introduced to your assigned case manager and/or paralegal
What If You're Not Ready to Hire Right Away?
That's perfectly okay. Some clients need time to think, meet with other attorneys, or gather funds.
If you're not ready to hire immediately after the consultation, you can reach back whenever you're ready. Just keep in mind:
• We cannot begin work or provide further legal advice until the representation agreement is signed and the legal fees are paid.
• Please note that any legal fees quoted at the consultation are subject to change due to the passage of time.
• If significant time passes since the consultation, we may need to schedule a follow-up consultation to reassess your situation and any new information.
What If We Can't Take Your Case?
While we strive to help as many people as possible, there are times when we may not be able to take a case.
This could be due to:
• Legal limitations that prevent us from moving forward
• A case type that falls outside our areas of practice
• A conflict of interest or capacity limitations at the time
If we are unable to represent you:
• We will explain the reason(s) during your consultation
• We may offer referrals to other trusted immigration attorneys or legal organizations
• You will still leave the consultation with helpful information and a better understanding of your options
Regardless of whether we take your case, our goal is always to provide clarity and support.
Important Reminders
• We do not offer payment plans, but we can refer you to a trusted third-party legal financing organization.
• Communication is key. If you have questions or concerns at any point, let us know.
• We value your trust. We're committed to handling your case with integrity, care, and professionalism.
• Legal fees may be subject to change if new information is presented in the future or there are changes in immigration policy that significantly affect your case.
Hiring an immigration attorney is an important decision. At Lear Immigration Law, we don't take that lightly.
We're honored to support individuals and families through some of life's most meaningful transitions, and we're here to help you take the next step with confidence.
