What to Expect in a Consultation

Your consultation with Lear Immigration Law is a dedicated, one-on-one session with an experienced immigration attorney.

Our goal is to help you better understand your immigration situation and give you the information you need to take the next step, whatever that may be.

What Happens During the Consultation?

Our consultations are 60 minutes and are designed to be informative and client-focused. Here's what typically happens:

• A thorough discussion about your background, goals, and any immigration concerns you may have.

• Discussion of your immigration history and review of documents, if applicable..

• Clear explanations of the legal processes or immigration pathways that may be available to you.

• Answers to your questions, with honest, practical feedback based on the information you provide.

• Initial guidance about what may be required to move forward, including potential challenges, general timelines, and filing requirements.

While not every case results in next steps or legal representation, we genuinely strive to provide as much clarity and value as possible during this hour.

What Should You Bring?

To help us better understand your situation, we encourage you to bring:

Any notices, letters, or decisions from USCIS or immigration court

Visas, passports, or travel history

Criminal or court records (if applicable)

Previous applications or filings (if applicable)

A written list of your questions

The more context you provide, the more helpful and specific our responses can be.

Please note: that we do not provide a comprehensive review or analysis of all your documents, files, and/or criminal records during the consultation.

Who Will Be Present?

You will meet directly with an experienced immigration attorney.

In some cases, a case manager, paralegal, or bilingual team member may join to assist with translation or note-taking, depending on the situation.

Please Note: If you need an interpreter for a consultation, we are happy to arrange for one; just please let us know at the time of booking so we can accommodate you.

At Lear Immigration Law, consultations are not sales pitches — they are an opportunity to get real information and insight about your immigration circumstances.

Whether or not you choose to work with us afterward, we aim to make this hour informative, respectful, and worthwhile.
